Hilda is the main protagonist of the graphic novel series Hildafolk and the Netflix animated series Hilda.

Personality

Hilda is generally a friendly girl by nature. In the first episode and throughout the series, it is very clear that she loved her first childhood home which was very close to the woods, miles away from anyone. She loved adventure and going out exploring with her beloved companion Twig. She also loves drawing certain things she comes across in her sketchbook. Hilda is relatively new to Trolberg, so she's still learning the ways of a ”city girl".

Being the brave and curious girl that she is, Hilda often finds herself in sticky situations along with her friends Frida and David (and occasionally her tiny elf friend Alfur), who are still getting used to Hilda's quirks. Although at the end of her wacky adventures, Hilda and her friends seem to get on top of the situations they're in and pick a little piece of knowledge and wisdom that they didn't have before; making them even better adventurers.

Appearance

Hilda is an average height girl with pale skin, a round face, and teal blue hair. Her average attire is a black hat, red sweater with a yellow scarf, a skirt that is the same color as her hair, black pants, and red boots. She is presumably 15 years old according to her date of birth but looked like she's 10 (although she's only 15 in the comics and in the Netflix Series she's currently 12)

Relationships

• Johanna is Hilda's mother. For the majority of Hilda's life she has just been raised by her mum and as such the two have a very close bond. Hilda loves her Mum very much and always makes sure she's happy. The two love to play the game Dragon Panic.
• Twig, is Hilda's deer-fox companion. While Twig may appear to be like a pet, he has a very close bond with Hilda, kin to siblings. The two love going on adventures and exploring the wilderness. Twig is also very protective of Hilda, always ready to defend her from danger.
